Cold Water Jet Cutting Mechanism

The UHP intensifier pump compresses clean water to 60,000 PSI; water flows through tiny sapphire/diamond orifice to form supersonic high-speed water jet. Garnet abrasives are automatically mixed into the stream for cutting metals, alloys and hard composites, while pure water only cuts rubber, foam and lightweight insulation materials. Driven by 3/5-axis CNC servo motion, the jet erodes workpiece via mechanical impact instead of melting, realizing full cold cutting with no heat-affected zone and preserving raw material intrinsic properties.
